Central Highlands Water chooses Infor for ERP
Victoria’s Central Highlands Water has selected Infor to support the organisation’s transformation into an agile, data-driven digital utility provider.
Central Highlands Water will use the Infor CloudSuite Public Sector to help streamline and modernise its operations.
The Infor suite is replacing five core legacy on-premise systems that cover a wide range of business processes, including financial accounting, budgeting and planning, asset management, procurement, and work order management.
Adopting a cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution will help Central Highlands Water improve its data governance, as well as its ability to integrate, share, analyse and process data, according to the utility’s Managing Director Jeff Haydon. He said the two-year upgrade program will form part of the foundational technologies for the utility’s More than Water 2040 strategy.
“One of the major projects we will be focusing on [under the strategy] is the ICT&D Business Solutions and Digital Enhancements project, to ensure we continue to provide the best digital solutions and experiences for our customers,” Haydon said. “Our partnership with Infor is important to achieving this vision and we’re pleased to continue our relationship.”
Central Highlands Water has been delivering water supply and wastewater services throughout the Victorian Central Highlands region for over 150 years. The utility has more than 160,000 customers across the region.
Infor has also previously helped support the digital transformation of public sector entities including Riverina Water in NSW as well as six of the 18 water operations across Australia, according to the company’s SVP and GM for Asia-Pacific Terry Smagh.
“Infor has a proven track record of helping organisations digitally transform to meet internal objectives, regulatory requirements and customer needs,” he said. “Modern utilities require agile, secure and data-driven, industry-specific Infor CloudSuite systems to deliver customer excellence, maximise financial resources and consistently achieve operational efficiency. As a trusted partner, Infor is pivotal to their success.”
