George Town Council to implement preconfigured ERP solution

Tasmania’s George Town Council has partnered with ReadyTech to implement its Ready Community ERP solution built for local governments. The preconfigured implementation is aimed at improving customer experience and streamlining operations, and will support the council in achieving its vision to create progressive, prosperous and proud communities.

The Ready Community solution enables governments to take a community-first approach to service delivery. It focuses on user experience, allowing the community to access services and information from any device, at any time, while providing councils with the tools they need to improve efficiency, reduce costs and drive better outcomes.

“ReadyTech’s preconfigured best practice implementation approach is ideally suited to accelerate our time to value,” said Shane Power, General Manager at George Town Council.

“We aim to create a community that is proud, prosperous and progressive, one that fosters innovation, creativity and inclusivity. Ready Community will be instrumental in achieving these objectives, enabling us to build a strong connection with our residents and provide the experience they expect. It will allow us to streamline operations, reduce response times and provide our community with a simple and intuitive way to access services and information. By enhancing our digital capabilities, we will create a more responsive, flexible and customer-centric organisation,” he said.

That platform will provide George Town Council’s community with 24/7 access to services such as payment processing, customer requests, rates, planning applications, licensing and permitting, and other online services.
