<em>Government Technology Review</em> finds new home at Westwick-Farrow Media

Westwick-Farrow Media (WFM), publisher of Technology Decisions, this week announced it has acquired public sector media brand Government Technology Review (GTR). The magazine and website were previously run by Commstrat Ltd, which ceased operations in March this year.

GTR is a great fit for our WFM Technology Group, and provides us with a public sector brand to complement Technology Decisions’ business and enterprise focus,” said Publisher Geoff Hird.

GTR magazine was one of the strongest print media brands in the tech space over the past few years, and we look forward to building on that platform and adding our digital experience to make it a proper multichannel play.”

GTR will relaunch as a multichannel (print/eNews/web/lead gen) product with a weekly eNewsletter to kick off next month.

A quarterly print and digital magazine will go out to readers in October.

Hird said a dedicated GTR microsite has already launched at www.TechnologyDecisions.com.au/GTR and will be developed further in the weeks ahead.

The content focus will follow the path established by the original GTR, covering public sector technology, hot buttons such as cloud, mobility, procurement, security, GIS and data centres, as well as infrastructure, business intelligence and more.

Award-winning IT journalist and past GTR editor David Braue joins WFM in the role of Associate Editor.

“I’m proud of what the GTR team achieved in building the brand during my three years as editor,” said Braue.

“The fact that Westwick-Farrow recognised that value is a great testament to the media entity that we created, and I’m looking forward to working with the great team at WFM to help GTR become an even stronger brand in the fascinating government-technology sector.”

In line with all 13 WFM magazine and digital media brands, GTR will be available under a free subscription basis to qualified technology and business professionals at www.technologydecisions.com.au/subscribe.

Tech marketers who are interested in finding out more should contact Associate Publisher Glenn Silburn, gsilburn@westwick-farrow.com.au, in the first instance.
