Infosys opens delivery centre in Parramatta

Infosys has opened a new delivery centre in Parramatta, Sydney, that will provide digital services to Australian clients, including the NSW Government.

The new centre will provide finance, accounting and HR back-office services to end users including more than 6000 NSW public servants.

It will be home to up to 140 Infosys employees and serve both the public and private sectors. Infosys will use the facility to deliver on the contract it secured in June to manage the government’s core back-office business services.

The centre will initially serve the Department of Finance, Services and Innovation, Service NSW, the Department of Premier and Cabinet, the Public Service Commission, NSW Treasury and the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal.

The project forms part of the transition of back-office services away from the now legacy government service provider ServiceFirst.

NSW Minister for Finance, Services and Property Dominic Perrottet said the arrangement will help the government meet its goal of driving innovation and efficiency while encouraging business investment to support the local economy.

“This centre will be the engine room that not only gives our public servants the modern technology tools they need to work effectively, but also delivers tens of millions in efficiency savings for NSW taxpayers,” he said.

Infosys will deliver services to NSW departments under the GovConnectNSW brand. These services will be delivered from the new centre starting from next Monday.
