Lake Macquarie Council inks $1.2m deal with Civica
Lake Macquarie City Council has awarded software vendor Civica International a further $1.2 million contract to implement a Land Information System.
Under the agreement, the council will work with Civica to implement the land information system in Authority 7.1, Civica’s cloud-hosted enterprise management solution for local governments.
Lake Macquarie City Council invested $6.3 million to deploy the Authority 7.1 suite in 2017, implementing functionality spanning finance, asset management, payroll and customer request management.
Now the council plans to extend the platform’s functionality with a system that will help it transform the way it manages property data and rating processes, while enabling the delivery of online property services for residents.
“It is important for Council to have a total business solution that is responsive to changing needs, is mobile accessible and improves the way we do business and interact with our customers,” Lake Macquarie City Council CEO Morven Cameron said.
“We look forward to continuing to work with the team at Civica to deliver a broader Land Information System that integrates property, rating, applications, certificates and other property-related modules.”
Lake Macquarie City Council last month announced a partnership with the city’s economic development company Dantia and NNNCo to roll out an extensive long-range wide-area network (LoRaWAN) for IoT solutions.
The council also recently launched a new mobile app to help council workers maintain the region’s roads.
