LGAQ to migrate council websites to Jadu Continuum

The Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) has arranged to migrate the websites of more than half of its member councils to local government service provider Jadu’s Continuum Platform.

The migration, which will be complete by the end of FY19, aims to allow local governments in Queensland to deliver richer and more engaging websites.

Councils will also introduce secure online forms designed to expedite the process of filing council planning applications, dog registrations and council complaint cases.

Finally, migrating websites to the new platform will allow councils to better leverage the insights being delivered by the LGAQ’s LG Sherlock big data platform.

LG Sherlock collates data from councils as well as third parties, including Queensland government agencies and the ABS, into a central pool for easier analysis.

“Our partnership with Jadu will deliver stability, smart integrations and a whole new set of capabilities and tools for councils,” LGAQ CEO Greg Hallam said.

“Queensland councils will get access to a world-class content management system, enabling them to digitise interactions with constituents and overcome complex administration, data management and workflow challenges.”

Jadu already manages a number of local authority websites in the UK and the websites of several higher education institutions in the US.
