NSW SICorp deploys PaaS from Capgemini
Capgemini Australia has successfully implemented a new platform-as-a-service (PaaS) system for the government agency New South Wales Self Insurance Corporation (SICorp).
The cloud-based system is designed to allow SICorp to deliver an outsourced core insurance platform for its Home Warranty Insurance product for NSW home owners.
SICorp will use Guidewire InsuranceSuite over Amazon Web Services to deliver a complete home warranty, policy and claims platform. This system will interface with the SICorp data warehouse to allow partners to securely access essential transaction information.
The implementation is in line with the NSW Government’s cloud first policy. It also represents Capgemini’s first PaaS deployment in Australia, as well as the first full suite implementation of Guidewire InsuranceSuite in the nation.
“The PaaS insurance offering will accelerate the delivery of new and innovative services to SICorp and deliver more value to their customers,” Capgemini Australia Senior Vice President Manoj Khera commented.
“We are excited to be seeing our first full suite implementation here in Australia that will deliver the best-in-class billing, policy and claims solution and to deliver on improved business performance.”
