Secure solution for NSW Crown Solicitor's Office

The principal objective of the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office’s is to advise and represent agencies so they can lawfully, effectively and efficiently deliver the state government's policies, programs and projects. The Office obviously holds highly sensitive and protected information that requires strong security and was looking for a cloud-based solution to provide more control over data being held on behalf of various agencies.

The main requirement was to achieve Information Security Registered Assessor Program (IRAP) certification. In addition, the COVID-19 pandemic had highlighted the need for a robust and secure cloud-based solution that would deliver the collaborative environment required from any location.

The Office opted for Content Manager Select because of its ISO 27001 certification and its proven uses cases including the Royal Commissions in Victoria.

It is used by Content Manager Select for fast and deep document content search and is also the underlying platform for the InfoSource system used by solicitors for researching reference and legal content used to provide advice to clients.

The SaaS offering provides the Office with a solution that protects critical information and delivers both the independence and control it was looking for. Sensitive information can be partitioned to ensure that only authorised agencies can access the information they need.

The IRAP assessment is complete and an ongoing process is in place to ensure compliance against the standard, as well as identification and management of threats accelerated and compounded by COVID-19.
