Workday added to DTA's Software Marketplace

Employee and financial management software company Workday has been added to the Digital Transformation Agency’s Software Marketplace procurement panel.

Workday software has been included in the panel’s new category of Enterprise Resource Planning Products and Service Solutions. This will provide access to Workday’s suite of applications, including Workday Financial Management, Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Workday Adaptive Planning, for all federal, state and territory government agencies.

The DTA has introduced the new category to the panel purchasing marketplace as part of its initiative to enhance the modernisation of ERP systems across agencies and other non-corporate Commonwealth entities.

Workday Australia and New Zealand Regional Director, Public Sector, Paul Leahy said this approach will provide greater autonomy and choice for government entities looking to modernise ERP solutions.

“We congratulate the government on its new approach. This will be truly transformative for government operations. By replacing outdated legacy systems, the APS can help streamline processes, boost productivity and attract top talent,” he said. “Our acceptance to the DTA’s Software Marketplace ERP Category ensures the Australian Government has access to innovative cloud applications for finance, human resources and planning, enabling them to drive IT modernisation that best meets their needs.”

To encourage adoption of its solutions among government entities, Workday has renewed its Information Security Registered Assessors’ Program assessment, which allows government organisations to store workloads up to the PROTECTED classification level on Workday software.

Workday software is already in use by government entities in nations including New Zealand, the UK and the US.
