Intercede launches MyID MFA 5.0
Digital identity management company Intercede has launched the latest edition of its MyID product family, MyID MFA 5.0.
The new release incorporates a range of multi-factor authentication options including one-time passwords, mobile apps, syncable passkeys based on the FIDO (Fast Identity Online) authentication standard and biometric protected hardware devices.
According to Intercede, adding support for enterprise managed FIDO passkeys into the platform will make it easy to FIDO-enable multiple applications and deploy passkeys to end users. The MyID MFA platform acts as both a FIDO authentication server and a passkey issuance solution, with end users authenticating to the platform with their passkey.
Customers will be able to choose from syncable passkeys that use the FIDO protocol built into mobile devices and web browsers to allow for authentication options such as the use of fingerprints, face ID or PINs. For organisations requiring enhanced security, the platform supports device-bound keys such as Yubikey.
The MyID MFA platform also enables applications to share identity and authentication information between systems in a managed way using standards-based protocols such as OpenID Connect and SAML.
Another enhancement of the v5.0 release is the addition to the Windows Desktop Agent of support for the inclusion of third-party authenticators and FIDO passkeys.
Intercede Chief Product Officer Allen Storey said the enhanced platform will help customers further bolster their security posture.
“It is our mission to help organisations protect themselves against data breach by deploying stronger authentication simply, securely and at scale, whether they are SMBs with hundreds of users, larger enterprises or federal authorities with thousands of users,” he said. “MyID MFA is the simplest way for any organisation to protect their applications, data and networks against cyber attack, with phishing-resistant authentication that is easy to deploy, manage and use.”
Intercede’s MyID product range also includes MyID PSM (password security management) and MyID CMS (credential management system).
