SailPoint completes IRAP assessment

Enterprise identity security company SailPoint has completed an Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment for its SailPoint Identity Cloud solution, paving the way for its use in managing government data up to the Protected classification level.

A registered third party assessor has examined the platform and affirmed its full compliance with IRAP’s Protected level control requirements.

The assessment will enable government agencies to leverage the platform to automate discovery and management, and control user access to sensitive data, applications and systems.

SailPoint Identity Cloud uses AI and machine learning technologies to automate identity security processes, while verifying if user access is authorised, secure and compliant. The cloud-native SaaS platform has been designed to provide an autonomous and integrated approach to identity security.

To mark the successful assessment, SailPoint has established a dedicated government support desk for Australian government agency customers, staffed exclusively by personnel who have been vetted by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA).

SailPoint SVP for Asia-Pacific Chern-Yue Boey welcomed the assessment. “Given the rise in cyberthreats against government networks and critical infrastructure sectors, a modern identity security strategy is crucial to protect classified data,” he said.

“The IRAP assessment reinforces SailPoint’s expert ability to enable government agencies to manage identity security across cloud environments, protect critical infrastructure and meet stringent regulatory compliance requirements. We look forward to continuing to empower more government organisations with SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, serving as a long-term trusted partner to enhance their identity security posture.”
