The Department of Human Services is seeking five experienced IT leaders to join its CIO Group as national managers.
A job listing posted by the department shows that the company is seeking applicants for three positions in Canberra and two in Brisbane.
The department will employ national managers in charge of digital projects, vendor management, infrastructure design and assurance, service network systems and aged care redevelopment.
Unsuccessful applicants may be added to a merit pool to fill other roles as they become available over the following 12 months.
Applicants must have: a substantial record of achievement with demonstrated outstanding leadership skills; experience working in a large, geographically dispersed and complex organisation; excellent interpersonal skills and judgement; and a strong customer focus.
Those with highly developed skills in ICT infrastructure, vendor management or IT application development, as well as tertiary qualification in ICT fields, will be preferred. Applications close on 6 August.
The Department of Human Services’ CIO Group has an annual budget of $1 billion and around 2500 staff, and is responsible for the development of ICT services for the department, government agencies and the public.
