New student management system to transform Victorian TAFEs
Bendigo TAFE and Kangan Institute students are set for a more digital and streamlined experience with the implementation of a new student management system.
The JR Plus software, to be supplied by ReadyTech, is expected to roll out across the 10 TAFE campuses around Melbourne and Victoria, transforming the experiences of 40,000 enrolled students annually, as well as 800 staff’s practices and processes, according to Bendigo TAFE and Kangan Institute CEO Sally Curtain. It’s hoped the software will also improve the TAFEs’ governance and compliance.
Using the software, students can manage their admission, enrolment, class schedules and finances and monitor their academic progress, ReadyTech said on its JobReady website.
ReadyTech software already supports over 1400 vocational education training (VET) providers, including Builders Academy, DeakinCo. and the Australian Institute of Personal Trainers, the company said.
“After participating in a demonstration of JR Plus, I am confident this will ensure we achieve our key strategic objectives of being a more digital institution, with easier and more enjoyable touchpoints for students and staff,” Curtain said.
