Genetec launches Cloudrunner in ANZ
Enterprise physical security software provider Genetec has announced the Australian and New Zealand launch of AutoVu Cloudrunner, the company’s cloud-based vehicle-centric investigation system (VCIS).
Cloudrunner is designed to detect, analyse and store highly accurate vehicle identification data to support public safety investigations such as criminal activity involving vehicles. The platform can help police and other organisations address crime in real time. Vehicle data is collected using a high performance, solar-powered, automated licence plate recognition camera that can operate in all weather conditions.
The camera can also identify vehicle type, make, model and colour, as well as behaviour analytics to help investigators narrow their search in cases where there is no or only partial licence plate information available. The platform can also generate an interactive map to help focus investigations within specific areas.
The camera works wirelessly over existing 4G mobile networks and Genetec says it requires no specialised expertise for installation and maintenance. It can be configured via the Cloudrunner Install app, and operated either as a standalone solution or as part of a Genetec Security Centre deployment. Collected evidence can be securely shared with other stakeholders such as law enforcement agencies using the Genetec Clearance digital evidence management system.
Genetec Country Manager for Oceania George Moawad said the platform will be a game changer for local police forces, community associations and campus security teams.
“Cloudrunner will benefit local government agencies, law enforcement, and businesses that require an innovative and flexible ALPR solution,” he said. “With Cloudrunner, organisations will benefit from enhanced situational awareness and a more unified response to security challenges. No matter where a crime occurs, it can be addressed in real time, collectively and efficiently.”
