DTA launches beta of services shopfront

The Digital Transformation Agency has launched the beta version of a redesigned website aimed at making it easier for visitors to find the information they need.

The new website has been built to showcase the guidance the DTA has released for government agencies, improving accessibility and the ease of discovery.

It was developed based on feedback showing that 54% of visitors to the current site are having difficulty finding what they want.

Along with the new site, the DTA has showcased guidance for the new Australian Government Design System, a catalogue of code and components for public sector designers and developers to use while developing websites and digital services.

This design system includes a community hub for developers to collaborate, share work and jointly solve problems. It aims to help the government create, test and release digital services more quickly and in a more consistent manner.

In addition to the new site, the DTA has introduced new digital guides aimed at helping agencies meet the government's Digital Service Standard.

New updates include information to support the service design and delivery process, user research and the development of a content strategy.

The agency is inviting feedback on the new tools to help shape the development of future versions.
