Future.NSW event to explore future of digital government
The NSW Government will next month bring together experts from across government, industry and academia to predict what a customer-centric government might look like in 2030.
The Future.NSW event will explore how innovations such as digital identity, cybersecurity and AI could shape the future of government and support the needs of NSW residents.
Speakers will include Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government Victor Dominello, NSW Department of Customer Service Secretary Emma Hogan, Chief Information and Digital Officer Greg Wells, and a range of industry representatives.
The event will take place on 2 May at the ICC Sydney convention centre, and will also be streamed online.
Wells said the event represents an opportunity to explore how to harness the power of technology to deliver smarter, faster and easier services to support the people of NSW.
“Through digital transformation projects as part of the Digital Restart Fund and the Beyond Digital Strategy, the NSW Government is already leading the nation in delivering customer-centric digital outcomes, but these solutions are not set-and-forget,” he said.
“Whether it is sensors to capture real-time kerb usage data or the integration of digital products such as the Digital Drivers Licence, Future.NSW is an opportunity to work together to explore how different technologies can deliver more efficient and accessible services.”
