Main Roads WA signs expanded deal with ASG
The WA Government’s main roads authority, Main Roads Western Australia, has contracted Australia’s ASG Group to provide it with additional specialist IT services.
Under the contract, ASG Group will provide applications and infrastructure managed services to the authority, including custom application support and maintenance for over 100 applications.
The contract also covers service desk, desktop, server, storage and network support, security devices and traffic control system support.
ASG Group will also leverage its partnership with Microsoft to provide the authority with support for Microsoft’s Dynamics 365, Sharepoint and Azure cloud services.
ASG Group is a longstanding supplier for Main Roads Western Australia, having been engaged for a number of major software projects.
“With more than 300 highly skilled staff in Perth, ASG Group has been able to identify significant value-add opportunities that will allow Main Roads to further develop its operational and governance models,” ASG Group’s recently appointed CEO, Dean Langenbach, said.
“These value-add opportunities include improved support to help deliver better-quality services and enhanced strategic coordination, to ensure our clients are futureproof — and providing the most effective service they can for their customers.”
Langenbach said the contract and another recent win with WA’s state-owned electricity and energy provider, Western Power, gives the company confidence it can double its business in the state over the next three years.
