NSW adds CA to API supplier lists
The NSW Government has added CA Technologies to the registered supplier lists for API management services.
The new lists will allow NSW Government agencies to easily contract pre-screened and approved software vendors for API management services.
Working with the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), the NSW Government has developed a set of standards into entry onto the supplier lists.
CA has been approved for both the base list, which covers contracts up to $150,000, and to the advanced list, which covers contracts worth $150,000 or more.
The supplier lists have been developed to support the NSW Government’s Open Data Policy, which is designed to ensure agencies release larger volumes of more quality data at a faster rate. APIs will help agencies develop the framework to compile and share valuable data.
“To provide new and better services to citizens, the NSW Government is leading the way with its open data initiative, by increasingly leveraging API Management to securely share data,” CA Technologies Australia and New Zealand’s solutions lead for API Management Paul Kastner said.
“Exposing and integrating data via APIs enables the Lego-like ‘snapping-in’ of new services, without impact to existing back-end legacy systems, and without the very high costs and long time frames associated with traditional integration programs.”
