Okta invests in public sector capability
Okta has announced the appointment of James Enoch as Head of Public Sector and Higher Education for ANZ. He will lead the public sector and higher education sales team in this strategic role and oversee go-to-market initiatives.
Enoch has 20 years of experience selling and leading tech sales teams, with deep expertise in the public sector, healthcare and education industries. He recently played a pivotal role in building out the APAC Public Sector team and go-to-market strategy for Slack, working with all levels of government to help them drive interagency collaboration to deliver digital citizen services.
Prior to Slack, Enoch led Salesforce’s PubSec Southern Region ECS business, where he established partnerships with government and healthcare departments to deliver transformative COVID response initiatives. During his time at SAS, he held leadership roles in the NSW Government, commercial sector and education.
“We are pleased to welcome James to the Okta family. His extensive experience and passion for leveraging technology to drive positive societal outcomes will play a pivotal role in expanding our public sector and higher education business in the region,” said Philip Goldie, Vice President and Managing Director of Okta ANZ.
In the ever-evolving landscape of government services, creating seamless, secure digital experiences for citizens has become more critical than ever before. With identity as a critical component of a Zero Trust strategy, Okta empowers government agencies to boost citizen confidence in digital services while safeguarding sensitive data, systems and people against cyber attacks.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Enoch has actively contributed to the tech sector’s response to government policy. He has served as a guide and advisor through his involvement with the AIIA VIC, NSW, Health Policy Advisory Networks and the Higher Education Special Interest Group.
