Proposals and quotes pathway added to Digital Marketplace
The Digital Transformation Agency has expanded the Digital Marketplace procurement portal with a new sourcing pathway allowing buyers to approach sellers directly for a quote or proposal.
The new Seek Proposals and Quotes procurement pathway is designed for government buyers who have well-defined business and technical requirements for an individual project and are clear of their sourcing needs.
Buyers will be able to approach specific sellers requesting a quote, tender or proposal, making it well suited to projects with a short procurement timeframe.
All Marketplace users will be able to view the opportunities, but only invited sellers will be able to submit responses. Responses can be requested in as little as two days.
Buyers will be able to set budget ranges and upload attachments that show detailed requirements for a tender or proposal. Once an opportunity is live, buyers will be able to field and answer questions from nominated sellers.
The DTA said it has implemented the new procurement pathway in response to user feedback and engagement with Marketplace users, and that it has been designed to address concerns of buyers who want faster, more efficient processes. The agency is inviting more user feedback through the Digital Marketplace.
