Service NSW makes top 10 in Best Places to Work list

Service NSW has made it into Australia’s top 10 Best Places to Work for 2019, in what’s said to be a first for the country’s public service agencies.

The agency beat Atlassian and Campbell Arnott’s to place eighth in Great Place to Work Australia’s ‘over 1000 employees’ category, under Salesforce, which took first place; Cisco Systems Australia, which came second; and SAP Australia, which came seventh.

According to Great Place to Work Australia’s 2019 report, organisations are ranked based on employee survey responses and an evaluation of the company’s policies and procedures — with 163 organisations being audited this year.

Service NSW employs almost 3000 people, with more than 40% working in regional NSW. Additionally, 70% of the agency’s employees are women and almost 20% speak English as a second language, according to the agency.

“Service NSW prides itself on its Flexible Working Policy and its commitment to a culturally diverse workplace,” the agency said, adding that it provides “a strong suite of training, development and mentoring opportunities”.
