Speedcast extends contract with FirstWave
Satellite-based communications service provider Speedcast has extended its contract with FirstWave Cloud Technology for a further year. The contract covers the supply of FirstWave’s Deep Package Inspection (DPI)-based flow control traffic management solution Secure Traffic Manager.
Speedcast has been using the platform to help improve its network performance and enhance the end-user experience for enterprise customers.
Speedcast CIO Moti Shulman said the platform has benefited the company’s operations. “Secure Traffic Manager enables increased throughput and reduced support calls while improving the customer experience,” he said. “Leveraging this solution as part of our network technology portfolio helps us keep up with today’s ever-increasing bandwidth demands.”
NMIS monitors the status and performance of an organisation’s IT environment, assists in rectifying and identifying faults, and provides valuable information for IT departments to plan expenditure and IT changes, while FirstWave’s CyberCision platform allows FirstWave service providers to offer cybersecurity services to their clients at scale.
FirstWave STM Product Manager Jerome Fink welcomed the contract renewal.
“This agreement illustrates the strength of the Secure Traffic Manager solution and our team,” he said.
FirstWave CEO Danny Maher said the contract win was a testament to the capabilities of the platform.
“Our Secure Traffic Manager solution has significantly expanded our sales pipeline, and we look forward to closing out more agreements like this in the future,” he said.
STM is part of FirstWave’s portfolio of network management products, which also include its CyberCision security services platform, its Network Management Information System solution and its network auditing product Open-AudIT.
