Victoria Police embraces low-code with OutSystems
Victoria Police has selected OutSystems to help streamline its operational processes and provide superior digital resources to police operating in the field.
Victoria Police are adopting a new business process management platform to help optimise numerous inefficient business processes, particularly the state’s electronic penalty infringement notice system (EPINS).
Low-code application development specialist OutSystems was selected for the project in a rigorous selection process due to its ability to help developers of any skill level build customised applications for automating cross-functional workflows.
The project will enable Victoria Police to address a range of process and user experience use cases across both web and mobile platforms. OutSystems will work with PhoenixDX to ensure the delivery of the first critical application under the project.
OutSystems Regional VP for Australia and New Zealand Paul Arthur welcomed the collaboration. “Our selection by Victoria Police is due to our comprehensive feature set which, during a hands-on developer enablement exercise, demonstrated the ease at which our platform can be adopted,” he said. “New developers on the platform were able to swiftly solve all functionality test cases, showcasing its suitability for the Victoria Police requirements.”
The objective of the partnership is to provide better tools for frontline members of the force, allowing them to better perform their roles out in the community. To that end, both OutSystems and the Police Department collaborated closely to integrate a platform that affords high flexibility, allowing the organisation to adapt to requirements as they evolve.
